ADAMPALOOZA

Adampalooza was an event we designed a few years ago (I just found the long lost pics). The color scheme was based off of the colorful Lollapalooza ticket from 2007-Turquoise, Orange, Lime Green and Purple. We wanted to create a festival feel so there were plenty of festivities for the guests to enjoy. Shown above is the Adampalooza sign, a pic of the kids room, "Sugar Palooza" candy bar, mini drum centerpieces with the "Adam Knox Band Logo", custom concert posters and mini guitar centerpieces.
Top Left: Adampalooza centerpieces for the kids tables which had a center that spinned and a LED flashing light in the CD. Top Right: Custom Adampalooza Concert Ticket Placecards. Bottom Left: The sign in board and donation drop off. Bottom Right: Room view of the kids area.

FESTIVITIES Top Left: Live local band in adult room (kids were entertained by a DJ. Top Right: The Oxygen Bar...yes oxygen bar...complete with 12 scents and nose hoses. Bottom Left: Totally Cool Temporary Tattoos. Bottom Right: the O2 Bar.

We labeled the bar areas "Knox on the Rocks". Top Left: Knox on the rocks custom bar napkins. Top Right: gourmet sodas for the kids with selections that match the decor. Bottom Left: Ice Luge that was carved to mimic the kids centerpieces...this looked fabulous when it was lit at night. Bottom Right: Knox on the Rocks bar sign.

GIVE THANKS

A little Thanksgiving inspiration for you. The photos of the buffet and the centerpiece with the table numbers carved in the pumpkin are from a Fall Harvest party a few years ago and the others are of my Thanksgiving table. The bottom right photo is a centerpiece that I made for a client for her Thanksgiving buffet. I have so much to be thankful for this year and plan on sharing it with those who mean the most to me. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY

Our shagadelic party this weekend was at the beautiful Conrad Hotel. It was an Austin Powers theme in honor of the Bar Mitzvah boy, Austin. This event was planned by Annie O's and decorated by Setting the Mood. The centerpieces were brightly colored gerbera daisy's stacked in a clear vase with a tie dye peace sign on top. Cocktail tables were decorated with groovy flower base and lava lamps. The grand entrance was a record curtain with the iconic Austin Powers logo with the Bar Mitzvah boy's name. We created a custom sign in book with a photo of Austin in the blue velvet suit on the cover. Each tween received "Austin" glasses and teeth as well as a tie dye t-shirt to take home.

MAKE A WISH

Wish Ball 2009-Evening with the Stars

I love that I have the opportunity to donate to organizations with a real purpose and a true heart for those in need and Make A Wish is one of those organizations. Setting the Mood donated centerpieces for this wonderful celebrity fundraising event. The Wish Ball is Make a Wish Foundation's annual fundraiser. The Make a Wish mission is to grant wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. This event features lots of local celebrities, dinner, live and silent auctions and a change to meet the Wish Kids. This year they raised over $250,000.00!! Dallas Clark of the Indianapolis Colts, lots of Colts players well as Head Coach Jim Caldwell were available for guests to hobnob with for the evening. FRIDAY NIGHT FEVER

Last Friday we decorated for the annual CPA Celebration Event. For the past three years this event is based around a decade theme. This year was the 70's/Disco decade. As the guests entered they 'hustled' through a disco record curtain. On the flip side was Dyn-O-Mite Lounge with far out cocktail table centerpieces of lava lamps and framed disco records. The tables were dressed with shiny lame cloths in gold, red, blue and green. Centerpieces included a disco ball, platform shoes with "tie dye" groovy flowers or retro fondue pots with flowers. A giant 4' round disco ball took center stage above the dance floor. The best part of the night was that the guests really got into the theme. There were so many super fly "get-ups" and it seems like they got into the groove even more than last year. Can you dig it?

BLITZ AND GLITZ

Lucas Oil Stadium was the incredible backdrop for our Blitz & Glitz event. The mezzanine was set with lots of tables dressed in sparkly blue and silver linen overlooking the Colts playing field. Half of the centerpieces were footballs with real grass in sleek silver bases and the other half of the centerpieces were glitzy lamps. The base was filled with acrylic diamonds and the lampshade dripped with chandelier drops and the entire piece was lit with blue lights. The built in stage is an amazing sculpture in itself. It's the iconic horseshoe shape with lighted columns. The guests toured the locker rooms, field and stadium then they were treated to a served dinner.

MOONLIGHT MIXER

Grey, Black and Yellow has long been a fave color combination of mine. Why not carry out those colors to your Halloween table? Here, the inspiration was the contemporary fabric tablecloth. I set the table with black charger plates, a yellow dinner plate and a black and white polka dotted salad plate. I spray painted assorted pumpkins to match and placed them on chunky black candle holders with Spanish moss as a bed. I collected acorns from a friend's yard, spray painted them silver and stacked them in a glass jar. The placecard holders are tarnished silver skulls. I found a cool double sided scrapbook paper that when you tear the edges of the paper, the color of the opposite side shows through. Finally, I perched black crows in various places around the table.
